For 40 years now, it’s been our mission at AAATI to bring Christian educational opportunity to believers who are looking for credible, relevant, intellectually sound, and spiritually challenging degree programs.
Founded by Dr. Cecil Johnson – Former President Emeritus of Christian Bible College in Rocky Mount, North Carolina – American Accrediting Association of Theological Institutions is a federal 501(c)3 Christian NonProfit organization with a burden for assisting smaller seminaries within the USA.
AAATI offers accreditation for Christian Seminaries, Bible Colleges, and Institutes who distinguish themselves through a number of high standards in regard to ethics and educational excellence.
Some of these distinctions are as follows: 1) Legal operation through appropriate governmental authorization, 2) Having an educationally credentialed and validated faculty, 3) Offering sound and substantial Theological programs, and 4) Possessing professional processes and procedures.
Bible colleges
With a curriculum based largely or completely on the Bible itself, Bible Colleges exist to provide undergraduate education to those wishing to learn the Bible in a greater capacity.
A Bible College stands to gain a greater notoriety from being accredited.
bible institutes
A Bible Institute provides an exceptional service to the Christian Community by training individuals who wish to learn more about the Bible. While many Institutes do not have it, proper accreditation is yet another distinction to offer Bible students.
seminaries
Theological Institutions that are formed to educate and prepare students for leadership roles in Christian Ministry, Seminaries can benefit greatly from the enhancement accreditation brings.

Our Mission
To Assist Smaller Bible Colleges, Institutes, And Seminaries Who Have A Large Heart For Ministry On A Small Budget
Our calling at AAATI is to make accreditation possible for even the smallest Theological Institution. It is our conviction that Instructional Excellence can come from any size Bible College or Seminary – and they should be recognized as such.
For an institution to be accredited by a US Department Of Education recognized agency, there are extremely expensive conditions which have to met and complied with, including premium licensing fees, extensive regulations, and large brick and mortar facilities. Not to mention seeking said accreditation can open the door to ungodly values being forced upon the institution in order to retain their accreditation.
Our Member Institutions have found the proper balance between high standards and accountability and proper perspective on less important things.
